Allen has zero strength. hes easily bullied and put him under pressure and his passing goes to ****

Allen wasnt the worst player but I genuinely think he is a liability

Hes too weak and for me he slows our play down.

Gerrard once again showed what it takes to be a top player

Rodgers approach is admirable but I still think we need strength and power married alongside technique

But I actually don't think blame can be put at Rodgers for this, players showed absolutely no bottle at all.

We were beaten by Burnley in 2005. There's a lot of overreaction in here.
          Are we winning?

How? They were a 10th placed Championship side. Oldham are about 20th in the division below!

We should have beaten them no matter how '****' the squad is. I mean, we didn't lose because of our squad. We lost because we couldn't compete physically.

yes and that strength and power is called diame

Go and get him. Ince and a left back can wait until the summer but we are one midfielder down after sahins exit. Diame offers something different.

Carra and Gerrard were shaking their heads when Probert didn't stop play after Borini got the ball smashed against his face in the first half. You could see they were visibly not happy with the ref.

Probert started ok then got worse and worse as the match wore on. Didn't even finish the full injury time.

Doesn't inspire much confidence for Arsenal or City away

In the bigger scheme of things, we really need to cement 4th place in the league. I'd hate a good cup run dragging the manager's attention away from that

I haven't seen much of Luke Shaw, but Wisdom is an obvious comparison for me: I think that Wisdom is a big physical guy at such a young age helps him significantly, when he gets caught out he can used his physical presence to make a nusance of himself to get back in and make a challenge, Robinson is very lightweight so every mistake is visible because he has nothing to get him out of trouble. I think Robinson is a better technical player but his mistakes are very visible. I think he needs to bulk up and get a loan move somewhere

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

My hope is we will bounce back.

We have that strange habit of upping our game against stronger teams anyway.

Are they as physical as Oldham? It's going to be totally different games. How can we be moving forward a week then it's like we're regressing suddenly?
