I think we'll see Wisdom at RB with Johnson at LB, no way should Allen be starting at the moment - the three in midfield should be Lucas, Henderson & Gerrard with Sturridge, Suarez and probably Sterling up top.

sterling does not deserve a place at the mo,

he is giving the ball away in areas that v arsenal will then aloow them to attack our full backs to much!!! sterling if he was playing like he did v city at home yes, but for me not at the minute,

we need a solid platform right across the middle of the pitch we need energy in there big style.

However people getting carried away with Johnson, he was only left out of the oldham game with a tight muscle, he should be fine, ridgers said pre oldahm that nothing to worry aboout just needed to be worked on and rest, glen should be bang in shape having had a rest.

Lucus was rested, thats another fresh set of legs whihc is what we will need at there place.

Agger - thank god was rested at oldham, thats another fresh set of legs which as above is vital down there.

Reina, no the keeper he was and still not the form that he can be in, but give me pepe over brad jones any day of the week. he will be fresh, no injury really just his nose and his chest which if it wasnt right he would not even travel, we miss his footwork and distribution.

downing - much as a i cant stand him at least he has energy!!! he only played just over 30 minutes so he will be fresh.

gerrard only played 3o minutes or so, he will be fresh after the 7 days of before the oldham game!

Enrique, probably will not start, he has missed many games and with a bad hamstring they need time to build back up, he will on the bench or the game will come to soon, maybe play at city.

If enrqiue is back then great but would be shocked to see him play full 90 mins, if no enrique then - id go with

        REINA
        JOHNSON SKRTEL AGGER DOWNING
        ALLEN LUCUS HENDERSON
        GERRARD
        SUAREZ STURRIDGE

        SUBS;
JONES GK, CARRAGHER, ENRIQUE, SHELVEY, BORINI, STERLING, SUSO.

in order to win at arsenal, we need energy, pace and work in the middle of the pitch!!!!
we need to keep the center well nailed down, we need to graft in the middle of the picth hence why i go with all of henderson, lucus and allen
I don't think we'll go with Downing at LB, IMO it'll either be Johnson RB and Enrique LB or Johnson LB and Wisdom RB
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I agree apart from the fact I think Downing deserves to start ahead of Sterling at the minute.

I agree but everytime I see him against a "top side" he really does go missing but he's in better form than Sterling that is for sure.

I'm not sure how much more he 'goes missing' against better teams than in general. I think people look to him when the team doesn't play well and we've generally been poor against the top teams. For me the heart of that has usually been central midfield (and on occasion the defence) in the last two years.

Perhaps we do notice it more as we look for him but I still think he goes missing

I wasn't saying he didn't - just that he does it as much/little against little teams as he does the giants. He's very fair like that, which is why will never be a referee.

To go missing means he was there in the first place, I have yet to see this.

i wouldnt play downing or sterling, but because the whole squad is weak then we have little or naff all choice, unless we play the 5 at the back, or we play more in the middle, id be tempted to play shelvey, lucs, henderson, then gerrard playing around suarez and sturridge

I worry how Sterling and Downing do not run at and beat the full backs. They receive the ball in promising positions and seem to just slow the play down completely. We need wide men who are going to attack the opponent with skill and pace.

Odds on Brendo dropping Skrtel then?
