The last part is perhaps the biggest concern for me, if we were to sell him who would we bring in, given we've supposedly got money for VVD and Keita and neither deal has come off (yet), more money not to spend and our best player gone seems an infinitely worse position to be in.

I would have liked to have kept him for another season at least. All looking a bit ominous, i.e. the phantom injury, Carra's comments that its ok as its natural food chain progression, etc. Then again why would we sell with Lallana's long term injury?

Nowhere near enough imo. That £80m is a figure the Spanish media have constantly peddled. To me that's what Barca want to buy him at. I think he's easily worth £120-130m on today's market

Just can't see it. They said he's not doing nothing in training, he's injured plus been on a two day break (probably to barca) so no training. The 80million fee is too low. I can't see us doing it without announcing someone either. Now if Lanzini is omitted from the West Ham team on the weekend id be disappointed. It is unusual we have had a couple of midfielders linked recently but not many over the course of the summer.

£120m should be the starting point for negotiations, They have just got nearly £200m for a player who was their 3rd best, if they get Coutinho he will be their 3rd best player albeit in a different position to Neymar, if we are going to sell we should make sure that they pay top whack.

You start to get a little jaded when your favourite players get sold. Alonso REALLY pissed me off big time but that was Rafa's fault. Coutinho leaving would just kill me. Cant seem to buy any good players from other teams but no problem selling our best player. And to be fair games start around 10pm to 4am for my time zone. Its hard enough losing sleep to keep up with games but watching a team with players I dont really care too much for makes it even harder to keep doing it.

if you love the club all that's irrelevant and that's the point LOVE THE CLUB not the players ,players come and go the club is here to stay, when we get a decent player enjoy him while you can and when he's gone move on
