My point is that money aside, it's nothing like going for a job and not getting it. From their perspective, this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Ask yourself how you'd handle that if your employer held you back?Originally posted by Buzzo View PostUntil I die.
I don't get your point? It's not like he's going to have to get a job on the checkout at B&Q to keep the wolf from the door when he retires?
PS. I'm not endorsing his behaviour, just addressing your point about job hunting. Was muß, das muß.

Do footballers measure their careers in pure monetary terms or rather in terms of ambition?Originally posted by Norbs View PostGet out of it. It'll take me 20 odd years to earn a million, a good deal of footballers earn it in a couple of months.
Their short careers are no comparison to living in the real world. Was muß, das muß.

It's exactly the same. Once in a lifetime opportunities pass people by in careers other than football.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostMy point is that money aside, it's nothing like going for a job and not getting it. If you see your Dream job and you don't get it. Feels exactly the same no matter who you are or what you do. Difference is they still get paid ****ing tons, and the opportunity will no doubt a the future. He should just suck it up and get on with it, he signed a contract so he can only blame himself.Modifying post.

Barcelona today offered Liverpool €160m for Philippe Coutinho in multiple installments.
The Meyerside club rejected the offer but came back to Barcelona with a proposal.
Liverpool are understood to have offered Barcelona the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho for a straight payment of €160m in January.
Barcelona came back with a sharp refusal and withdrew from negotiations.
Mundo Deportivo believe that for now, Philippe Coutinho will remain at Anfield ‘much to his regret’.Modifying post.

Phil will have a time getting back into the team at this rate anyway.
Hopefully he comes back and sucks it up. Yes he was disrespectful but it won't do neither of us any good if he is not playing. It's world cup year he isn't going to get in the squad if he doesn't play.
When he signed his contract I do think he was considering staying until next year but neymar moved the goal posts.
I don't blame him for wanting his dream job. Most of us can just quit and go for it if we wish he cannot.
I'm looking forward to him making and impact off the bench in the near future.
