he is even putting back spin on it to stop the ball and prevent it running away from sturridge. he did another similar pass [in another game] and on that one you can actually see the ball slow up as it bounces.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostIt is just ****ing sensational. The weight of it, so difficult to land it with on-the-spot accuracy with the outside of the foot. The kid is wonderful to watch.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Back spin? Naw, he just places the ball so accurately there is enough space between ball and keeper for Sturridge to reach the ball first.Originally posted by baitman View Posthe is even putting back spin on it to stop the ball and prevent it running away from sturridge. he did another similar pass [in another game] and on that one you can actually see the ball slow up as it bounces.

Maybe a touch of side on it though.

Thought about it but I'm not sure yet. Would like to see more of him. In theory he could really dictate from there, it'd be interesting finding out. At this stage I'm inclined to leave him as a no.10. I think that's pretty bold tbh...there aren't many thriving 10s in the world at the moment as they are so seldom used...or at least used in that position. Almost always shoved out wide. Great to see Coutinho pulling the strings from that position.Originally posted by dww View PostDoes anyone think it might work to play him deeper against poor sides (in a similar way to how Modric has played) with another attacking player in the middle too? Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I wouldn't want it to be a first choice but frequently people has said some games have passed him by. My feeling is that that is something that often happens to number 10s when the opposition play with a good defensive shape with the midfield close to the defence. When that happens in game I think moving him back might give him room to dictate the game more and draw teams out.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThought about it but I'm not sure yet. I guess you are right to suggest that he is very young to be asked to do two different roles."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
