Something in one of the papers tommorrow about Hendo, apparently proving he's the Prems hardest worker and deserves a seat on the wc plane.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostIt's also good movement by Henderson. He starts running before Phil's gone past the Arse players. The only thing missing was the goal. Excellent skill, sublime pass, intelligent running... not so good finishing.

I think Henderson and Barry deserve a place in the WC squad ahead of Lampard. 'Can't see it happening thoughOriginally posted by Vermilion View PostSomething in one of the papers tommorrow about Hendo, apparently proving he's the Prems hardest worker and deserves a seat on the wc plane.
Another MASSIVE game

Fantastic. I said last week his ability to ghost past 2-3 players in that deeper central area could prove vital as it opens the game right up...and then he did exactly that v Arsenal when he set up the Henderson chance.
We should leave him there, forget left wing and play him there every week. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

By the looks of it the only other true no.10 in the squad is Oscar. At a push Bernard, who predominantly plays out wide and by all accounts isn't having a great time at Shakhtar.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostGutted.
I don't know enough about the players he's competing with but I'm absolutely amazed if he doesn't deserve a squad place.
Although Scolari only announced the overseas-based players today so there might be a domestic no.10 named. Doubt it though.
It is insane that a player so gifted can't get in though. Their first choice striker is Fred FFS

But when he has a poor game we really struggle with that formation. Villa and WBA are two examples. But when he excels then the formation really works.
He is young though and had some injury problems this year . Fantastic player though. Unbelievable eye for a pass and technique. Think he is vital for that formation to work

That's why Rodgers is looking at a wide player I think.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostFantastic. This and another deeper lying midfielder, a left back and I think we'll be alright for next season. Or maybe, 3 quality players in these positions and baulk up the squad in prevision of CL to add more depth to it.Are we winning?

Sure, he's had a couple of bad uns and will continue to throw them in from time to time. Just a kid, playing a role that I assume is new to him. Much more defensive responsibility. But IMO we should give him his head. If he has a bad un, put it down as a learning experience and move on. I'm convinced this is his role and he'll be vital to us. Potentially world class.Originally posted by Sarb View PostBut when he has a poor game we really struggle with that formation. Villa and WBA are two examples. I agree. Really like him. He presses high up. When he did that skill in his own half on Saturday and playef the ball through for Hendo I was like '****ing hell'. Pure exhibition stuff. The ball for Sturridge was just world class. Think he will have to be on his game tomorrow as they will probably defend deep in numbers
