Still don't understand this criticism at all. Guarantee he will start against Spurs.
I'm sure he's a lot more annoyed than any supporter that he spend most of his game working hard defensively than doing what he does best.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I thought he was poor mate, don't think i'm alone in that assessment either. The talent and ability are there & i do think playing him more centrally is best for him.. but he is so inconsistent & IMO he had a poor game & even though he tried things it just didn't happen for him tonight.Originally posted by RedReet View PostHe got taken off because we were trying a more direct approach. If it was still a close game he would have been kept on.

I don't disagree that he's better in the centre, but for a wide forward he worked his balls off tonight. Carra highlighted how he disappointed for the second goal, but the fact that he was even in the LB position behind Moreno proves how hard he was working (how often did we see that with Sterling and Johnson?).Originally posted by danperkins View PostI thought he was poor mate, don't think i'm alone in that assessment either. Unfortunately for him his few mistakes (IMO) came from promising attacking positions which naturally brought groans and distinct memories from the crowd, which is why I believe he is being unfairly targeted for criticism. Genuinely thought him and Allen were our two best performers first half and I wish the result had of been better so I could confirm this tomorrow by watching again. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I said lazy in the match thread which was my mistake, was more so getting his head down after losing possession. I don't think he is or was unfairly criticised, if a player gives the ball away 5 or 6 times in the game... the crowd will moan and groan regardless of who he is.Originally posted by RedReet View PostI don't disagree that he's better in the centre, but for a wide forward he worked his balls off tonight. I don't think there will be many people that thought he played well in either half to be honest. The tools are there for the lad just a matter of him getting some much needed consistency in his game IMO.
