we need to set up a futsal pitch so he feels like a giant again.

it would be good alternative training, increase the intensity and close control skills.

Ok Mr.Coutinho ..It does seem for whatever reason this player seems to be going backwards in terms of progression,he has undoubted skill/talent/potential,he does somethings which leave you in amazement, but he has not kicked on and has if anything become worse than last season, and he could end up failing when he should be doing the opposite,i hope he can sort this out, otherwise we'll be talking about Coutinho as wow he could have been a World Superstar instead of look at him now in some piss poor Brazilian league.

I think people are wrong to expect a linear progression in young players. He has the talent and he's had a bad few games at a time when our team has been struggling a bit all round. I see no reason not to think he'll progress over time.

A non-linear progression could also be used to suggest that his best form for us was a purple patch in his short career when his performances for inter were closer to his performances for us this season. No idea of course, only time will tell.

Or maybe changing managers 4 times in 3 years isn't really a great platform for a young 18 year old getting used to life in a new country to blossom.

His promising early form for Inter, his form for Espanyol, his first six months for us, his form towards the second half of last season is more than enough to suggest that it isn't just a purple patch.

Coutinho will not have the profound impact if we don't play with mobile forwards who can run channels.

Studge, Suarez and Sterling last season stretched the defense and freed up so much space for him to do what he does best, through balls and great passing, which is not what is happening now.

We play too narrow atm for him to have the same or similar impact.

I agree with Mo, the biggest problem is the lack of movement ahead of him. Balotelli is static, Lambert less so but still nowhere near the perpetual motion of Suarez. He has a great on-field bond with Sturridge...can't wait to see them linking up again.

Suarez made everyone look good. Even Enrique.
