Obviously the movement in our side is non existent & when Coutinho is trying to pick a pass to our front men.. there is no options as we're playing one up top & my bowels move more than Balotelli.

In saying that Coutinho, apart from the first 6 months in which Coutinho looked fantastic... his performances have been so inconsistent. With the ability he has got you expect so much more from him & his production levels need to improve. So IMO there is an argument that our formation & team selection have had an impact on his performances but also individually he hasn't been great this season & was inconsistent last season.

As regards yesterday's game... IMO he was poor again.

Agree with that. No point in playing Coutinho while Sturridge is out.

He has a very good understanding with Daniel sturridge. They both seem made for each other the way Gerrard and Fernando Torres had a special link.

To me getting the best out of Phil could hold the key to our season. If we can get him playing to the best of our ability week in week out I think he could lead us out of this funk.

He's clearly been working on his game, and his shooting in particular has improved.

Having Sturridge back will help him immensely. He has no one to pick out with his through balls at present.

If we can get Phil and Sturridge playing well then I think the whole team will improve.

Seen a few people have him in their MOM top 3. Thought he was absolutely dreadful today. Nothing showing his talent and his work rate is ****e... infuriated how many times he gives away posession. The excuses of no movement ahead him is getting a wee bit tedious.

A luxury we cannot afford. All said and done he has been here a couple of years and should be doing better. More suited to a second tier Spanish team IMO.

Second tier Spanish team is harsh. He has been poor for a while but I think he can be handy to have coming off the bench or even starting when we are a settled team, on form or heavy favourites to win a match. He doesn't do the donkey work to help the team and for that reason is a luxury, but I still think he is worth having around. He is not even 23 and has shown flashes of brilliance. He is a player who requires movement from the frontmen and has looked lost without Sturridge and Suarez. I think he will improve when/if Sturridge gets fit

He was amazing for the second half of season when we signed him & since then he has regressed horribly. Do frustrating to watch as you know he has talent... he's just not showing it. Very lazy player too.

Bang average i'm afraid. I was at anfield jwhen he made his debut and he was amazing but he is not fulfilling his potential. He can't shoot, is lazy and never tracks back.
