Haha, this thread was thriving, up until we tweaked our system, got a bit of movement ahead of Phil and he got his assist and goal. Who'd have thought.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

What an absolutely sensational assist that was. Not sure why it's hardly had a mention.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Was beautiful. Great watching our front 3 again, even if we weren't at our best yesterday.

Coutinho and actually the whole team still seem to suffer with the away day fixtures just seems to be a lack of confidence we can get the results.

Hopefully that win yesterday will help Phil and the rest to kick on and get back to believing we can turn over most sides.

The assist yesterday is a prime example of what he's capable of

It's not that great, to be honest Nice to see them all doing well, but they don't create & score enough - something which will of course change with the arrival of a proper striker

EDIT: I meant watching our front 3, the assist was sublime of course.

Compared to what we were watching earlier in the season, I would say it is great. We're able to start looking forward to matches again and some of the link up play up top and one touch passing is getting back to what we were used to last year.

If we go out and get 4 or 5 against Swansea or Leicester, I wouldn't be too surprised, just need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal.

Coutinho, one of my favourite players but he can be incredibly frustrating at times.

Weird in the sense that he's a big game player, and you usually get the opposite with players like him, in the big games he seems to get properly stuck in.

Compared to that, having AIDS looks great as you said, it's (slowly) getting back to where it was last year, but at least for me, what we've seen so far is not enough. I really think - hope - that we should be aiming higher.

If Lallana, Coutinho and Sterling score 4 or 5 in a match in this current setting, I will be really surprised

Well I've seen enough in recent matches to be optimistic about, which is why I'm allowing myself to venture back to this side of the forum again.

Coutinho should come into his own in a tight game, but that's mostly when he ends up going missing.

I'm still hoping he can bulk up a bit and drop a bit deeper on the pitch. When he gets his shooting right he does have a cannon of a shot. But he's playing further forwards and you have to say, his numbers are finally starting to add up. You have to have goals and assists in those forward positions and he's starting to get them. Needs to continue.
                      Forwards.......

He's very talented and equally frustrating but he does have the weakest strike of a ball i've ever seen.

Yep, one of the huge drawbacks of playing indoor 5aside. I have the same problem.

Doesnt mean he cant practice though. I would if I was paid millions to play football.

It's been said a few times by those who know their onions but give the lad some movement ahead of him and he'll thrive. Hey presto.
