Better late than never: what an absolute beaut of a goal that was yesterday. Has he finally put that into his locker? Lets hope so. Just when defenders were beginning to work out how he plays (twist, then twist some more) he's said sod that stand off me and I'll let one rip.

City will definitely be thinking about dropping Nasri to play one or both of the Fernands to occupy him. He did score the winner last season after all.

He wasnt performing in the first half of the season because the rest of our team were absolutely useless. You dont take one of the best young creative midfielders in the world and lump him into a team with no movement. All his strengths get nullified.

Besides the amazing goal, the outside of the foot pass to Sterling was outrageous.

I've always thought that when he gets movement in front of him that's when he'll thrive, but he's gone passed that now and started dictating games on his own, wonderful footballer.

Great performance by him, but the movement around him coupled with his skills are just explosive. Some of the overall play today was stuff of fantasy.

Been the best player in the league in 2015. Some unreal stats from his performance today. Like we saw with Suarez, immense work rate + all the skill and talent in the world is always going to = something very ****ing special indeed. I think Phil can reach Suarez-esque levels for us.

He could be our paul scholes (shudders), in as far as he links the play and if he can continue to score goals. Obviously for sheer skill, our boy wins hands down, but for effectiveness over the years scholes scored plenty of goals. When games are tight, having someone in the team that can score from range out of nothing is so important. We've been badly missing it. Teams have known they can sit back and we will try and walk it in. Him and Henderson should be given a target of ten goals each per season, minimum. He turns out of trouble so easily. Beautiful to watch. Now he is adding goals, he's becoming vital.
