Henderson and Milner are very similar I see there being a Gerrard-Lampard type situation where we really need to pick one or the other but we will spend far to long trying to accomodate both.

Can I am still not sure about - I think there is a good player in there but I don't know what time of midfield role will best suit him, and I don't see Rodgers as the man to answer than question.

      You're basically suggesting...

      Sturridge - Benteke

      Firmino

      Henderson - Coutinho - Milner

      Back4 - Back 4 - Back 4 - Back 4

      or something else?
I think Henderson/Milner will take turns playing the DM spot, so yes, it would be something along those lines.

Not sure we'll get away with fielding 16 defenders but we'll have more of a chance at keeping a clean sheet. Sakho still wouldn't get a game mind

I'm no fan of Henderson but we waste him at DM.
He's one of he few that actually can assist goals and he can't do that babysitting dumb and dumber at the back.

On Milner i agree with Perkins The fact that we think he'll be this Santi Cazola type - played out wide now in the centre providing the assists is wrong.

Coutinho in the centre could work, he could be our Scholes - but we need a Roy Keane to keep the balance and look after him (scholes was a dirty ginge as well and could look out for himself).

As previously mentioned the balance of the squad is all wrong.
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

I think watching yesterday it was clear why he was made captain, he is the only vocal one in the team, Milner seems to be fairly quiet as captain/vice captain. At least Jordan has a go and gets people going a bit. In the few games he has been out we seem to have gone quiet and flat.

I'd have Milner central and Coutinho and Hendo either side. They'd all have licence to get forward but not all go together obviously. It would be narrow too so neither would be stuck in a wing position. Rely's on the full backs doing a lot of work which also means its time to end Gomez at left back cos he can't attack with his left foot. Can't find a place for Lucas or Can in our best 11 if I'm honest. Still not sure what Can is.

I don't think we'll have defensive solidity regardless of who plays or what way we line up so the aim is to get as many goals as possible and see how it goes.

For me if you are going with 4 so attacking players (Sturridge, Benteke, Firmino and Coutinho) I think you probably need a dedicated DM, particularly if you are wanting the fullbacks to provide width.

Yeah that would be ideal but we don't have a dedicated DM that's good enough (sorry Lucas) so go with the best players we have and go all Kevin Keegan on it

Yeah completely agree. I'm still on Can though, he doesn't have a real identity as a footballer yet. Box to box, deep lying etc. He would be the one that drops out of the starting 11 for me. In saying that I do rate him but just not sure where he fits in with LFC under Rodgers.
