Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He suffers because we don't have movement ahead of him. There were signs he is getting an understanding with Benteke though. When Studge is back (and hopefully he is back for a long time) we will see the best of him.
      Are we winning?

It is a difficult call - he puts in the work but when we don't have a striker he seems to contribute little other than occasional moments of magic. We have few enough goal threats in midfield that he will always deserve a place for that alone but to improve as a team we need more from him (or someone who produces more throughout games).

I called for him to be dropped for last nights match.

I'm calling for Milner to be dropped for Kazan now so he hopefully puts in a MOTM performance.

He can feel the pressure of otherd in the team showing similar qualities at the same place (left off midfield)

His whole thing is about his passing flair ability. No strikers means theres no one there to anticipate the kind of passes he'll do into open areas or the quick one twos. Most of our team dont really have that kind of flair so they cant anticipate it. Some could say Lallana and Firmino do. But Firmino is still getting used to things here and Lallana, at least for me, isnt good enough to be a first team player here.

You could see some passes that Coutinho would do into open areas for Origi would go nowhere since Origi wasnt expecting it and just jogged towards it which made Coutinho visibly annoyed. This makes him decide to just try and take the ball in for himself and he's not going to be that successful when theres no one in front pulling other players away. He's our best player. If any of the big spanish teams came in for one of our players, Coutinho would be the only one they'd take. He's absolutely delicious.

                He suffers because;

                a) we have no one on the same wavelength as him

                b) we lack pace in the team
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

So what you're saying is its not an issue with form its that he's **** outside of a narrow set of conditions?

Sick of this wavelength bull****. He needs to get on the right wavelength and stop bloody giving the ball away.

Personally I hope your school of thought is wrong, 'cos if it's right he's a pretty dumb footballer and a very expensive luxury.

He does so well because the oppo don't close him down quickly enough. They will soon, so he's going to have to grow his game a little. Love him though - he could just as easily not give the opponent problems.
                    Really?

Its not a narrow set of conditions. If he sees a good chance for a throughball and does it, and the striker is too stupid to run into that open space and instead just stands there with the defender, who are you going to fault? Midfielders not moving into free areas, being too static, giving him little choice but to try and run it himself, theres no way you can blame him.

Picture a team full of creative players and another full of average intelligence footballers. Which team is going to do amazing 100 pass combos and then score?

So he's kicking the ball directly to opposition and its other players faults for not moving in the path of it?

After the amount of times he's given it away you'd think he'd learn.

You 2 are making him sound like a right dumb ****.

Watch when most of the time the ball finds opposition player theres usually a liverpool player near him. One moves for the ball, the other doesnt. You're making it sound like he just passes it at the opposition who is sitting in the middle of an empty field, or directly in front of him. How often did he screw a pass up when he had players like saurez or sterling near him? Not much. Dont excuse the other players.

It also doesn't excuse him. The side as a whole need to work better at their movements and making sure they're on the same wave length. It does appear he's started to build an understanding with Benteke which is good to see.

He's still passing it to opposition whatever the reason, if he's failing to read his colleagues he needs to calm his farm and try something different.

                                Benteke - Movement
                                Sturridge - Movement
                                Suarez - Movement
                                Sterling (as striker) - Movement

When they played Coutinho looked pretty good. When they don't he looks a bit average.
