Hopefully this is the start of a mature new phase of consistent performance rather than another random excellent performance. I think the team setup seems better for him now which should help.

He's quality and I think this season is going to elevate him as world class player. Barca and Madrid can't **** off next summer. We nee to keep him and now is the time to kick on and stop selling our best players.

He was almost invisible in the first half let's not forget. I'm not sure he'll really find the consistency that elevates good players to great ones to be honest but if that keeps him at Liverpool a year or two longer then I'll live with that!
