I know contracts mean **** all in the modern game, but less than 2 months ago he signed a new 5 year deal, I am sure if his heart wasnt in it he would have not signed and got more money wherever he was moving to.

All our players have been up and down this season dont see why a player coming back from Injury would be any different!

I hope he's not downing tools like traitor Torres. If not he's taking an age to get back up to speed. Mind you his form has always been a bit streaky.

Posting his heart isn't in it and he wants to go Barca is just ridiculous imo.

He's having a bad spell, he's done it before.

He's had a bad injury and hasn't played well since. It happens.

We'll know in the summer if theses anything in the stories but we can't say it would come as a shock if LFC sold their best player.

It starts - Neymar has been on the case also. If he wants to go then it will just be a question of how much unfortunately - lucky he signed the contract so it will be top dollar.

I don't think he starts for Barca currently IMO and his best position is wide forward? Messi and Neymar have them sewn up, the Iniesta role...not sure he is ready for that....yet.

He is Pogba levels of price for us - thanks Barca and unsettling him to try to get him on the cheap is so typical of them.

He will be off, I'm telling you all that now. It will be the same predictable **** from LFC each year. I'm not going to cry about it, he's not been very good and we've had and lost far superior players than Coutinho.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I agree slinky it's the reality of our situation. If he does stay I'm glad to have him here. If he goes we'll get a good price. Besides as good as he can be when he's on it he is not terribly consistent.

Rummenigge on Chelsea's bid for Ribery from a few years ago:

‘We could have made a lot of money, because we also had an official offer from Chelsea that was utter madness. It was the right thing not to sell him, though.

‘That showed all clubs that Bayern are a buying club rather than a selling club. That’s the way it works with the big teams. You don’t stand a chance if a team like Barcelona or Madrid don’t want to sell and the same thing goes for Bayern these days.’

Wish we had someone like that at the club, someone who gives a ****. Oh well I guess we'll just continue to stay little insignificant cunts.

If phil was showing CONSISTENT worldie form then the time would be right to dig our heels in but lets face it lately its been like sending ten men out there lately.

This may be him already following instructions from barca, but if he is truely that inconsistent how long do we persevere with him.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I'd want to play for a glamour club like Barcelona or Real Madrid. Plus the weather is better!
