Given the way the market has gone, I'd laugh at them and their £90m offer.

Being honest, I'd reject £120m if it were my choice, we'd struggle to replace him, he's on a long term deal and his stock is only likely to rise (as is the market).

              Google translate of their article

A representation of FC Barcelona would have traveled to England to negotiate the signing of Coutinho
Albert Soler, Robert Fernández and Raül Sanllehí would have taken over the reins of the operation

In the expedition of FC Barcelona to Washington, where Wednesday must play against Manchester United, there have been three significant casualties, those of the Professional Sports Director of the Albert Soler Club, the Technical Secretary of professional football Robert Fernández, And the Raül Sanllehí Soccer Director.

All three had traveled to England to work for the signing of Liverpool Brazilian striker Philippe Coutinho, 25, accidentally one of the best friends of Neymar in the Brazilian team. In fact, the French press points out that the Blaugrana would have required the PSG to incorporate Coutinho as one of the requirements for his departure from Barça.

FC Barcelona followed the steps of the Liverpool forward for a long time, but the impossibility of incorporating PSG midfielder Marco Verratti and the possible departure from Neymar, precisely at the PSG, could have once again activated the interest of Barça by Coutinho . In front, however, there is the difficulty to convince his trainer Jurgen Klopp, who considers him one of his key pieces, who renounces him.

Doesn't sound quite as described to me, but maybe it's lost in translation. Or maybe things have moved rapidly since they wrote that an hour and a half ago.

**** off Barca....why can't we report them for an illegal approach? Or have the Anfield hierarchy planned this cash in all along....

The thing with all of this is it is gathering momentum, if Barca do want him then he will go, we just need to make absolute top dollar for him.

I had thought one more year and he might go, I think if he stays and players deeper with the pace in front of him he could tear it up next season. I really hope we keep him.

Maybe we can if they have made one, but what would it achieve?

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but does not actually get you anywhere.

Which is why they are bidding BIG for Keita, IMHO!

Realistically, we aren't going to spend £200m without recouping a huge part of that. I don't think we will sell Coutinho unless a) we get our outstanding purchases over the line (seemingly Keith, VVD), and b) Klopp sanctions it for the greater good. If those things things happen then so be it.
