Reckon Coutinho's price is being set as to whatever Monaco are quoting for MBappe and that we would only sell if we could buy. I think that would imply that we would want cash up front as that's the only way we'd outbid the opposition (by offering the full price up front). Don't think MBappe would agree to com here though. I think it's all stuff and nonsense tbh.Really?

Ability wise he has a higher ceiling than both imoOriginally posted by Fierce View PostTrue, but Keita is (apparently!) regarded as being an absolutely special case. I haven't seen anyone suggest there is another player like him on the planet. Which admittedly strikes me as a little unlikely, but still
£70m for an outside forward is insane. He'd need to be one of the best in the world at that price and he isn't starting in place of Mane or Salah
Put it this way before the start of the window if you were offered the chance to sign Ousmane Dembele or Mohamed Salah most fans would have chosen Dembele hands down imo

I still think Salah represents far better value for money though.

He'll be ballon level in a few years IMO.

Hence I would offer them a fee they would find it extremely difficult to turn down.Originally posted by labourRed View PostI think he's better than both. If not now he soon will be.

The best case scenario is for Coutinho to stay but I will be very worried (until the window slam shuts) if Neymar leaves Barca for the reported £196m.

Aye, he's one of a few players that would appease me if we sold Coutinho.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostHence I would offer them a fee they would find it extremely difficult to turn down.

[QUOTE=Shaggy;3388314]Tim Vickery saying Coutinho to Barca is inevitable if they sell Neymar to PSG. Quite speculative.

Not sure Barca would be prepared to spend big bucks that Liverpool want for Coutinho (133M) unless Neymar is sold.
If we did get that sort of money for him, Liverpool should go in for Gareth Bale.I would be pretty happy with that outcome.
I think Liverpool should not wait to sell next year if they can get 133M now because I dont think prices will be so inflated next season, even with the World Cup.
Any sale of Coutihno should however be subject to a suitable replacement being available and organised.Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield
