His behaviour is pretty unforgivable. We've been very good for his career. He's been very good for LFC. He's just signed a 5 year deal on a nice wedge and apparently told Klopp early Summer he was staying. It's clear in pre-season that we were building the team around him in this new midfield role.
Now some of this is speculative
but this is how he's rewarded us:
- Handed in a transfer request the day before the season started
- Leaked false stories about being mistreated by the club and having issues with Klopp
- Faked injury to avoid playing
- Told us he will never play for the club again.
It's baffling and maddening. All we've ever heard up to this was what a lovely lad and great professional he was.

Klopp talked a fair bit at the end of last season about him being deployed in a deeper role and like you say we've purchased players to accommodate that.
As for him bitching about being subbed, it was during a 2 month period after his injury when he was absolutely terrible. Nobody has a divine right to play minutes when they aren't delivering.
God, I hope they are ****ed, I really do. Pique came out with comments as well, saying he felt Barca were inferior to Real for the first time since he came to Barca. It's a tumultous time for them I feel.
