Probably. He has let so many people down, at so many levels. He doesnt deserve anything more than being used as a squaddie

Those stats were from ALL his games for us. As we know he has had some iffy spells so they were averaging out his stellar performances.

Playing him deeper allowing mane, salah and ox to go wide will be the makings of the little slug.

I thought the ones I read were PL only but you could be right. As someone said earlier there's possibly a better balance without him and there certainly should be next year.

It's exactly the same situation as us with Van Djyk. Nothing to cry about really, and I'm not talking about Coutinho.
                Are we winning?

Unsettled Philippe Coutinho still an option for Liverpool, says Jürgen Klopp

                    • Klopp insists Coutinho can feature for Liverpool despite transfer request
                    • ‘We’re not like George Orwell where everybody knows everything’

Jürgen Klopp has said he has no qualms about putting the unsettled playmaker Philippe Coutinho back into his Liverpool starting lineup despite the Brazil international submitting an unsuccessful transfer request.

Coutinho, 25, the club’s highest-paid player after signing a five-year, £150,000-a-week contract in January, tried to force an exit by asking to leave after Barcelona had a third bid of £90m up front rejected.

The club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, issued a statement insisting Coutinho would remain a Liverpool player when the summer window closed and that has proved to be the case, although since then there have been reports suggesting he does not want to play for the club again.

The player was unavailable for Liverpool’s first five matches with an apparent back injury but came off the bench to score for Brazil in a World Cup qualifier against Ecuador on Thursday and is expected to feature against Colombia on Tuesday before returning to Melwood.

It remains to be seen whether he will be considered for the trip to top-four rivals Manchester City on Saturday but Klopp is happy to still have the player available to him.

“We still have a really good player in the squad who can play,” said Klopp, speaking to the German media outlet SPORT1 after coaching in Nikolce Noveski’s testimonial game at his former club Mainz. “Don’t believe everything in the press or that there are offers here and there and that the minute after the offer has been entered, it should already be over.

“We are not like George Orwell where everybody knows everything immediately. We have exactly the situation we wanted and no other.”

In this situation and others like this I often think that the agents need to take abit of the blame.

Coutihno is a young dude with potential that has been really well tapped/ exploited by his club and that have made him realize his early promise.

he signed a nice contract last Jan that gave him a nice big pay rise. I cant remember if Barca wanted Coutihno before the Neymar sale but this move suggests Agent greed not player greed. Each transfer the agent takes a premium so it is naturally beneficial for an agent to agitate for moves for his player.

I think Liverpool will welcome him back into the fold as the message has been made pretty clearly. The club will not be bullied by players agents and ****ty tactics. A transfer from a club should be as polite and amicable as a transfer to the club.

His (Phil's) behavior has been poor but not over the top. He has kept his counsel pretty much and hasn't resorted to some of the tricks Sterling used slating the management.

fans apathy towards him will last only up to the first goal he scores for Liverpool. However I believe that Liverpool will seek to get rid, on their terms and not his and at their own convenience, ie when they will hae a suitable replacement lined up and the maximum revenue can be extracted.
Likely to be after a successful World Cup.

Transfer revenues are typically about 30% higher for players that shine in a World cup than any other year.

THe moneyball men at the club will know this...

this is going to be a difficult season for Barca. the likes of Messi and Suarez will be prioritsing the WC over the current campaign. Especially as for Messi , it is probably his last chance of glory on the World stage.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

All eyes are going to be on Barca and Messi into January while there's still doubt over him signing a new contract.

If he decides to leave on a free the club and fans will be not be happy

So now the question is will he return to Anfield and make himself available for team selection or make up a new injury/illness

                                .

More than a bit IMO. I reckon Kia is at least 50% culpable for most of this and probably 100% culpable for the ****tier things that young Pip is alleged to have done.
