Like I said earlier, if we are going to sell now, we need be getting a huge fee, I would be saying however much it cost to buy Lemar (or whoever we see as a replacement) plus x million. Given that Lemar would likely cost ~£90m I would say we should be looking at something like fee for Lemar + £80mThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It is all about setting a precedent also. We cannot let Barca or Real bully us to sell our players.
It also makes no sense to agree on a fee now for the summer. Madrid have had a horrible season by their standards. This is a world cup summer year. They have the habit of shelling out a large amount of money on the latest world cup star to pacify their fans. Unlike Barcelona, Madrid actually pay full value.
If there is even a slight chance that Madrid or PSG might enter the race in summer, we should hold out.
Milinkovic Savic is mentioned at 100m too. I dont want us to sell in any circumstance but it doesn't make football or financial sense to do it now. And like you mention the world cup, a few long range stunners and Brazil win the World Cup and his price isn't far off doubling!

This doesn't fit with the bloke I see when he's visiting the kids at hospital or the recent video of him at the school with firmino and ox.Originally posted by Chris View PostHe's a cunt of a lad though so it is difficult but at some point we have to get out of this thing about being open to letting our best players go, if it takes upsetting him or whatever then so be it because it doesn't end here, Salah is next.
He's never come out and said anything and he's playing his best football. He could have sulked.
We may of said he could go in Jan and are now backtracking on what was agreed. Who knows. I must admit when we announced Virgil I did expect it might be based on Phil going to Barca. If that hadn't gone tits up, both deals were probably going through in the summer.
I hope he stays until May.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Yeah thats good of him, now it'd be nice if he could get on the pitch during the transfer window while we pay him 150k a week.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostThis doesn't fit with the bloke I see when he's visiting the kids at hospital or the recent video of him at the school with firmino and ox.

Seems like he was at training today so I guess that the thing which will let us know what is going on is when the lineup is announced on Friday. We will see if he has developed another of those back strains or if he is going to help us win football matches.
All the noise seems to be coming from Spain whilst Phil and the club remaining very quiet...Modifying post.

Barcelona didn't get near our valuation in the summer and once again we have laid down a marker as to what we want
Phil knows the figure and so do Barcelona (excluding add ons)
It's interesting to note all the newspapers talking the same ballpark figures
It's up to them nowBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

That worked well in the summer didn't itOriginally posted by Leyton388 View PostThat's nice of him the ****ing idiot must have forgot about his 4 years left on his contract.
I can guarantee Barca will not meet our valuation and try to lowball us and have Phil pressure the club by refusing to playBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
