Do they make special hollow ones for the players that didn't really make much difference

That's why VVD is such a great signing. He looks like he wants to be someone to change us not just accept that we're normally an also-ran

The bit in Bascombe's article about us struggling to persuade him to stay is just daft. What do we need to persuade him for? Tell him what time it is and that we aren't entertaining any bids until the summer, end of story. It's about time we grew some balls and stood up to clubs like Barca. We hold all the cards ffs.

How can you know that mate? Whenever the transfer window is open he’s suddenly injured?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Philippe Coutinho latest - Liverpool fighting losing battle to keep Brazilian as Barcelona prepare £140million bid
Coutinho has made it clear that he isn't prepared to wait any longer

Liverpool are fighting a losing battle trying to convince Philippe Coutinho to stay at Anfield for the rest of the season.

The Reds had hoped that the club's continued involvement in the Champions League – coupled with an offer to improve his £150,000 per week wages – would persuade the Brazil international to put his dream move to Barcelona on hold until the summer.

However, Coutinho has made it clear that he isn't prepared to wait any longer and his heart is set on an imminent transfer to the Camp Nou.

The 25-year-old's representatives, Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci, believe that Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is about to make that a reality by tabling an offer of around £140million.

Barca are proposing a deal whereby they would pay Liverpool around £105million for Coutinho with a further £35million to potentially follow in add-ons linked to appearances and trophy triumphs.

If Liverpool agree to those terms then it would make Coutinho the third most expensive footballer in history behind Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Jurgen Klopp refused to be drawn on Coutinho's future when he faced the media on Thursday.

Coutinho isn't available for Friday night's FA Cup tie with Everton at Anfield due to a thigh injury.

              £105M and a further £35m in add-ons

£15m more than Pogba, and the market has gone berserk since then. Absolute piss take, he's twice the player Pobga is ffs.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I’d be calling them & saying it’s £150m up front & no bonus crap or piss right off. I’d prefer to keep him till summer though so I’d knock off £10m for that

How can you be fighting a losing battle over a player you own?

Someone should explain to him that he can't move to his dream club if they can't afford him.

Someone should explain to him that Barcelona might not be part of Spain soon and his wages will drop to a level that will see him grow back his ketwig.

As much as I want Coutinho to stay, we need to be realistic. We ain't fetching a Neymar fee and we'd be silly to even try.

Exactly, mate. It's bollocks. Like I said we hold all the cards. We don't have to pander to Barca's beat.

Phil's value should be relative to Dembele.

They paid a fortune for him, and Phil is significantly better
