I don't really understand this grievance that a lot of fans have. Most footballers get a lot of grief for being mercenaries and selfish ****ers. Coutinho though seems to be putting his family and quality of life ahead of personal gain, in the sense he has a (outside) chance of CL glory with us and also seems willing to take a financial hit (if some reports are to believed). Yes, we can all argue that he could make the same move this summer, but from his perspective, anything could happen before then and if he has the opportunity to make it happen now, then understandably he's willing to do that.

His attitude since he joined us has always been top drawer and even after missing out on his 'dream move' this summer, he still gave everything on the pitch, so I'm not totally in agreement that he suddenly a 'cunt', or whatever else fans are comfortable labelling him now.
