Suso had a run of games and didn't take his chance, in fact he was pretty poor. There was no way he should have been in contention for tonight's game regardless of technique! He will IMO go on to become a better player.

Downing's performance tonight was typical Downing but the last 2 months he has performed better than tonight. So calling for the manager to be sacked is ridiculous! Hindsight is all well and good but just look at how many people on here picked Downing in their lineups. Tonight, that decision BEFORE the game, made sense.

I agree, he should be sold but that's not the argument you wanted the manager gone if he doesn't sell him? Well you said replace but Coutinho will occupy an attacking position so what else do you want?

In terms of flowing attacking football we are still light years behind Arsenal. But we showed flashes of where we are going and the future is looking bright. Now we just need to learn how to defend again.....

So perhaps you can see why i would go with Suso.

I'm not saying hes ready forcthe first team week in and week out but Downing is such a let down., he cannotand never has produced a decent performance against a top side.

Always saw Arsenal scoring two. Was praying we scored a second so we didn't lose 2-1.

So happy when we went up 2-0, it confirmed the draw that I settled for before the game (despite my maverick side wanting us to put 5 past them, which was always fanciful).

City are ****. No Walcott firing rockets from all angles. We can beat them.

That Suarez up top and Cazorla in the hole is much better than Sturridge up top and Suarez in the hole. If your disputing that I have nothing else to say to you.

Agger is usually immune from criticism, but again tonight he lost his man. The run of Giroud wasn't clever but Agger ended up under the ball in no man's land. Happening far too often now and has cost us a fair few goals this season imo.

We gave up a 2 goal lead and then took off a striker once Arsenal were level

Come on man. Walcott was causing us all sorts of problems on that right hand side. Think Enrique coming in helped stop him influencing the game further.
                            Are we winning?

People moan our team is light weight then ask for Suso's inclusion over Downing......

Suso had his chance at the start of the season, and to be honest, he didn't take it. Looked good in the Europa through the middle, but looked poor on the flank.

On tonight, I was surprised we didn't throw Sterling or Borini on late on to grab a late goal. Many players looked knackered late on, one of those and Shelvey or Allen coming on could have stretched Arsenal.
                              Forwards.......

It's the 2nd goal he's cost us recently from the same situation. I suppose every defender has a 'blip' and each mistake has been punished which isn't always the case. But yeah, its a something we need to address, he's a class act and I think he'll know he's cost us tonight.
