We've improved a lot going forward but we still allowed Wigan too many chances. We've seen that cost us too many times this season and it will again if we don't sort it out. We need to be more ruthless, give the opposition nothing but a beating.

Yeah but we are amazing going forward. This was were we were struggling at the start of the season so I'm so pleased that he's sorted that out with just 2 purchases. I have every confidence that the defence will get sorted in the summer.

My only slight criticism would be that Rodgers didn't give Assaidi, Suso or Shelvey a chance towards the end. Would have been a good opportunity to make a positive impression on the first team with little pressure on them. We have a tendency to take things easy against beaten teams for the last 15 minutes anyway, so thought that was the perfect opportunity to give them a run out.

Yeah, but Jelavic is better than Suarez

Not that he has ever looked even remotely close to Suarez, but Jelavic looked a decent finisher last season. He's had a mare this He can only have scored a handful of goals?

Suarez is immense just now, he really is the complete centre forward One of the best to ever wear the shirt.

Jelavic is ok, not bad but if we had signed him last January as well keeping Charlie Adam in midfield and Carroll up front, we would be well into mediocrity by now as well as having a mess of a squad.

Yeah I agree with this. A perfect time to give Suso and the like twenty minutes as I can't see him or Assaidi etc getting much of a go between now and the end of the season.
