Guily rejected us, and why is everyone so sure that Alves would be a success? He is small, and he isnt the best tackler.....i'd have reservations about him aswell if we were spending 12mill on him. Ive watched him alot and im not so sure he would be a wise purchase

Kuyt is streets ahead of Cisse in quality, Pongolle was useless the majority of the time. Bellamy started well, he hasn't got into the swing of things since coming back from injury, and he scored a goal last night....whcih souldnt have been ruled off. This summer we spent much, much more cash than Man Utd, who just about broke even after the sales of RVN and Obe Mikel. Only Chelsea spent more than us during the summer, yet we're 9th in the table....

If Rafa had only bought one or two quality players people would be having a go at him for having a small squad. I´m prepared to give him three more years, the fixture calendar hasn´t been kind to us either, it´s just the roll of the dice. If we hadn´t gotten these difficult away games now and had played Charlton and Fulham maybe and won them things would be looking different. We would still probably lose against Chelsea, the Arse and ManU on the road but there wouldn´t be such an uproar.

This squad is capable of winning the league. It's just the away form that needs to be sorted. Sami has had his day and Agger should be played in central defence alongside Carra as his passing is way much better than Sami. We need to retain the ball, not losing it via silly passes from the back.

yes but the problem we have got is the "Champions league winners" stigma, when we put in bids for clubs they try screw us over for more cash, thinking we must be filthy rich. Sure we have spent alot, but Chelsea have inflated the market, and it seems any young players we are interested in, they also have interest in. Case in point SWP. They bought him for 15mill more than he was worth to stop us from getting him.
