Didn't he get banned for biting another player while captain?

So what? You and I do it all the time.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Gerrard will be captain for as long as he's playing IMO and then from who we have currently it'd be Pepe, Agger, Lucas or Suarez IMO
Not right now no, but if he's a fixture in the team when the time comes...

I think Reina would make a good 'club captain' but I don't like the idea of a goalkeeper as captain on the field, - you need your captain to be able to go and discuss things with the referee on behalf of the team, for a keeper that's not practical.

I wouldn't give it to Suarez, so for me it's between Lucas and Agger.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nobody - we should retire the captains armband as a mark of respect to Stevie G.

I voted Lucas - I think he is the best choice as captain as both a representative on and off the field for the club.

Agger any day. He has the club at heart, very vocal and a leader on the pitch already. And add to that he has plenty of captain experience from the national side makes him an obvious choice for me.

Only problem with Agger is he probably won’t be far off retirement himself when Gerrard decides to hang up his boots. I hope to be proven wrong, but with his long injury record, I just can’t see him playing into his mid 30’s, well at least at the highest level.

In staying that, if Gerrard is over his injury problems and we get about 3+ years out of him, hopefully Agger can do the same.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Aye, we'll probably have a very differnet team by then.

imo i think Br would like to make Joe Allen captain if he can really step up and impose himself as a top midfielder

Nothing to do with where he comes from then?
                              *Except Michael, who died.
