Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Then they'll do what we did after winning it and qualifying for the CL, and play in the CL. What happened to our place in 2001/2?

Sturridge should never have been up top on his own. Formation was bollocks. Hendo should have been brought on a LOT earlier.
At least we won't have Europe to distract us from the league next season.

Maybe yours have dropped and you haven't noticed it?

I think we've got a slight problem at the moment and I'm judging this by the last two games we've played. We were lucky against Spurs and deserve to lose today. Maybe it's due to tiredness I don't know, but I think we have real issues dealing with runners between our lines due to the way we're organised defensively.
            Are we winning?

Really don't understand our team. Johnson is either brilliant or terrible and Skrtle is just a mess

And if Lucas was out them Henderson should have played

Dunno but anyway that was 12 years ago and a different competition so it's not unlikely the rules will be different too.

That performance, individually, was really poor. Gerrard looked as if he'd rather not be there, Johnson's confidence looks utterly shot, the centre back pairing is wrong, Allen shouldn't have played and was clearly in discomfort, Suarez had a bad day, Jones is an accident waiting to happen or rather an accident happening right now and the honeymoon seems to be over for Sturridge.

My MoM 3 will come from the only players who seemed to put in a performance. Coutinho put in a decent performance and despite things not happening around him didn't get his head down. Downing worked pretty hard throughout but it's Enrique who had the best game in a Black shirt. Best of a bag bunch tbf though

                    Consistently inconsistent. End of.

If Allen needs surgery he shouldn't have played today, we should just get him in for the operation now then he can get a full pre-season behind him and be ready for the new season. This season is a write-off, with todays results we've little chance of making Europe next season, we're now 3 points behind Everton and 5 behind Arsenal having played a game more than both, we'd need to finish above both to qualify for the Europa League.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's more likely that the rules will have remained the same though. I had a look on wiki and it seems that Sunderland weren't drafted in to take our place.

We played quite well for the first five minutes. Suarez was poor today, played far too deep. Johnson was awful. Our passing was terrible and defensively we were a shambles. Jones needs to learn to hold onto the ball. Overall pretty dismal.

We just keep shooting ourselves in the foot. But when I saw the starting line u feared the worst. Another painful lesson for BR, expect a few more.

Do Europa League winners get into the Champions League now? If so then it makes no difference.
