It does if the reason we're scoring more is also the same reason we're conceding more. The more you commit men forward the more likely you are to concede on the break, I get where you're coming from about more creative players but as I've just posted we need a balance.

For me its not just personnel that are to blame for us conceding so many goals.

He made the changes he needed to do. Gerrard played a lot deeper in the second half and we dominated the midfield thanks to that.

Henderson played higher up the pitch. Suits him much better than playing in a deeper position.
His energy alone makes him a handful in that role, he goes missing when in the deeper role at the minute. Made up for him though, took that goal ridiculously well.

Stevie Nicol " LFC need a ready made midfielder, not sure Hendo/Shelvey/Allen can be relied upon yet".

Brendan Rodgers has revealed how Steven Gerrard played through the pain barrier to help Liverpool come from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Easter Sunday.

The skipper converted a penalty to add to Jordan Henderson's leveller - and then executed a brilliant diving header to deny Christian Benteke his second goal of the day.

Rodgers explained afterwards how the 32-year-old had struggled to put his boots on prior to the game because of pain in his foot.

"He had to get an injection in his heel," revealed the boss.

"He had a wee issue with his heel for a couple of days. He had a bit of pain in it and was struggling to get his boot on.

"For him it was a case of doing whatever it takes to play. It was nothing major but he had pain in his foot - and many other players might not have played or even trained."

Another player who put physical issues aside to put in a memorable display was Luis Suarez.

Rodgers explained: "He's been away with Uruguay and came back late on Thursday.

"He was in training on Friday and I was thinking how tired he was - his face, his body. He just looked totally shattered from all the travel and exertions from the game.

"But you look at him today - his energy and willingness to work for the team, and then just his sheer quality. His imagination in the game is incredible.

"He really frightens defenders, and that led to a penalty [today]." link

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                          Henderson's celebration are awesome

Coutinho's vision and through balls are something else.

We need to get our pressing game on par with the attack. Develop that and add a couple of physical defenders.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
