    They're completely different players.

The jump is far too high at this moment in time, Lets sign big Marvin Morgan because he will obviously make a difference.

I think at this moment in time Assaidi is better than Sterling, certainly more skillful on the ball. Given more chances I think he would certainly be a good option to have off the bench. Rodgers obviously doesn't rate him though. Which is why he doesn't play.

It's amazing the amount of people that overrate our youngsters.

Coutinho was really good, I enjoyed watching him play - that was about all I did enjoy really. I hate, really ****ing hate, Allardyce teams. He is an anti football, rudimentary, dodgy, bent as **** gob****e who templates the same boring and irritating principles with every team he manages.

It was a bit flat today. I didn't even hear if Operation Anfield was successful, so I'm a bit tetchy now.

Plenty of time during the week to spend on intensive fine tuning!!
Long range shooting and corners definitely need working on.

Liverpool 'outstanding' despite goalless draw at home to Hammers, says Rodgers

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said his team's performance was 'outstanding' despite only managing a goalless draw at home to West Ham.

Their top-six hopes suffered another crushing blow as they failed to break down West Ham's stubborn defence and, three weeks after that dismal defeat at Southampton, Brendan Rodgers' side once again failed to spark, skipper Steven Gerrard coming closest to a winner when his effort was cleared off the line by the outstanding James Tomkins.

'We were outstanding in terms of our game and very frustrated we didn't get the three points,' said Rodgers.

'We kept pushing from the first minute but West Ham defended very well.

'In that situation, you have either got to score early or you need that wee bit of luck.

'Unfortunately when we did score it was deemed offside but when you see it again Sturridge was clearly onside.'

Rodgers confirmed Stewart Downing had to be replaced after failing to recover from the illness that had threatened his participation in the first place.

Liverpool remain three points adrift of Merseyside rivals Everton, but a massive seven behind Arsenal, having played a game more, and their European hopes are fading.

It was yet another game that fell into the category Rodgers addressed in his programme notes when he stated: 'From outset of this campaign, I felt it would most likely be a season of transition and there would come a few growing pains.'

However, he intends to keep driving on over the remaining six games.

'Our aims are simple,' said Rodgers. 'We want to finish as high as we can.

'This was a game we wanted to win.

'Our form at Anfield has been getting better all the time. We love playing here.

'We are full of thrust and bodies going forward, offensively today we were very good.'

Brendan is hyperbolic. Outstanding, ffs. He could have said the team pushed and tried but outstanding? Come on. Semantics ok, but sometimes he talks ****e.

                  He really doesn't

Bodge would have called that a famous draw.

Well, we played outstanding attacking football scoring zero goals at home against West Ham

As we've done many times over the years, I seem to remember sitting through many 90 minutes games of utter crack under previous managers.

We didn't score today and could have played better up its a rebuilding phase after the utterly awful previous 3 seasons.

In those I'd imagine we'd have ended up losing this

You can't put him in the same league as Roy for talking ****, but his turn of phrase doesn't help him.

Roy had no excuse, 335 years coaching history and writing the first ever football rules or whatever - Brendan is only just being exposed to a huge level of verbal dissection.

I agree though he could sometimes say less but in football management they all seem to talk utter bollocks whether won, lost or drawn!
