...club shop's going to deliver some amazing cock-ups with shirt names there...

      2) Meireles being forced out over wages and replacing him with Henderson and Adam was another idiotic mistake, whatever your opinion of Raul I think we were fortunate to have a player of his quality considering our lack of CL football.
well it's a matter of opinion isn't it.

I can argue that actually, we replaced Torres with Carroll AND Suarez - whilst i know what your reply will be - that we are told (by the club ) that they wanted suarez to partner torres. And we we signed carroll immediatley after signing torres - ultimately tho, we are no worse off from selling Torres

      January transfer window
Torres, off form, looking unhappy, struggling for fitness sold for £50m - signed Suarez and Carroll for combined £58m - one being overpriced but a gamble on a young raw english talent that didn't work out - the other setting the league on fire.

The meireles one - Whilst I agree charlie adam was always going to be a ****ing ridiculous signing, however saying meireles was one of best players/shouldn't be sold, nah i'm not so sure, he didn't set the world alight, we haven't really missed and I bet most people forgot he played for us

for me, meireles whilst technically was a good footballer he didn't do much - was he a defensive mid? because he didn't look like he had a tackle in him, plus he wasn't exactly pacy, and he only scored 5 goals in 44 games for us, - yes he could play football - but wanted high wages and we recouped what we paid for him and towards the end of his career (was never going to get better)!

Henderson (again, whilst i do think we paid over the odds for him) is a young talented england u21 captain, great work ethic and professionalism, with arguably the best 6-8 years of his career yet to come

        this i agree with

i have no issues with meireles going

but in hindsight if we could have, i would have kept kuyt and maxi for another season - we'd be in a much better position now if we had them

We need to buy a true winger (Mkhitaryan), a CB (Williams) and another playmaking midfielder (Eriksen).

I expect, in 11 more domestic matches, for Luis to come on the pitch like the fresh man in a pro wrestling tag team match, absolutely on fire with a mission to destroy English football forever. He'll have my full support until the day I die. No one has been more hard done by in terms of injustice in the English league than he has, and I hope he ****ing kills it.
I love the imagery - Suarez straining over ropes put in front of the bench just for his return, waiting for the tag from a seemingly prone team mate. Stamping his feet in encouragement and frustration.

Ah, so... He would be instead of Eriksen, with Ajax teammate Viktor Fischer on the wing? /AnfieldMole
