We have no pace.

Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea all possess something which we dont have all over the pitch. Pace.

Rafa has brought very badly in the transfer market. Yes granted Pennant and Bellamy are quick players, but both are not up to our standards. In fact Pennant barely uses his pace anywhere.

Riise, Finnan, Crouch, Kuyt, Alonso to name a few are very very slow players. To win the premiership you need pace in all areas and we just dont have it.

Kuyt was awful yesterday because he has no pace to get away from defenders. Our defence was scared because we know we dont have the pace to match any sides like Arsenal. Rafa has brought in Agger and Paletta, both slow players. Man Utd and Arsenal both have at least 1 very very quick defender.

We need to sign 2 players in the window. i personally would like to see a quick centre half to partner Carragher. (Gallas would have been ideal) The other should be a right winger or another striker to replace pennant and get gerrard into the middle.

Dare i say it. But yesterday i wished at one point Ciise was on the right. One other point.. Arsenal and Man Utd play and bring through their home grown youth. Where is ours????

It's pointless having pace if you have the first touch of a rapist.

The problem is Rafa's only been around for 2 and a bit seasons, how long do you think it will take his regime to reap the rewards of a decent accademy set up, unlike under the Houlier administration.

ANyway back on topic. We lack pace in the whole side. Buying Bellamy doesn't constitute pace. We need it in all areas. Until that happens we are gonna be losing to Arsenal, Chelsea etc.. a lot lot more.

we brought in pace.....they just havent worked out.....how did rafa know that gonzo woulkdnt adapt?? Bellamy should be doing better. Pennant....well obviously Rafa wanted ALves anyway
