To be honest theres a half dozen keepers that would improve us who are realistically obtainable. No point dropping names since I'm not the one doing the shopping.

That's the thing about Mig, he regularly has these spurts of form that leads us to believe he's good enough but such patches are always fleeting. Credit to him when he plays well like today but it's not enough for me to change my mind about him. We need someone consistently better. It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

I'm pretty sure you have some keepers in mind without me adding to them. Unless you're saying Mig is the best keeper available to us and we should keep him as first choice for another season.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostThats a cop out. If there are so many, surely you can name a few.

I've never seen him attempt to command the box like he did today. He was going for everything, getting fists on crosses, and seems to have worked on his one v one reactions, he has made 3, 1 v 1 blocks in the last two games which would all have been almost certain goals.
Every keeper will make at least one or two errors every season. Mignolet needs to get his numbers down, but as pointed out, with a settled defence in front of him he begins to perform quite well.
I don't see any other obvious replacements, so will be interested to see what happens, but I suspect Klopp will stick with him with a view to Karius (who did actually play well in the cup games since he was dropped from the first XI) as the long term replacement.Modifying post.

I agree, he is a good shot stopper, but then I thought David James was too. It when and how the opposition exploit his weakness.
I think its a case of upgrade if the right player comes up. I think we can sweat it another season. We can make better returns on spending on other positions. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

**** sake, he's crap. I can't believe everyone is falling for him now. 2 good games change nothing for me, he's nowhere near good enough to be number 1 goalkeeper for this football club. I'll be so annoyed if we keep him as he's only going to ruin our chances again in the future. It's too late for him now, he should have been pulling saves off and rescuing us years ago not now when we only have a few games left, he's had enough chances. Don't kid yourselves lads, he's ****e.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

. I suppose what I'm trying to say is finding a really good keeper is difficult these days, they're few and far between. I'm not sure there's someone noticeably better than Mig that we can realistically get.

Schmeichel. He has something mignolet doesn't and that is presence. 100% getable.Originally posted by Pablo View PostI still think he's crap. But then I think most keepers are
