Sakho captained PSG at 22, so he must have leadership qualities. He'll have one season behind him next year, so we'll see.
    Are we winning?

A quick point about Mignolet's distribution. It's at 69% for the season. Better than Cech, Hart, Lloris, Howard and De Gea.

How many are short balls to an under pressure CB?

          97%.

I jest, his average length (giggle) of distribution is 37m.

Whilst I'm causing a mischief, his claim success is 96%.

Ditto could be said of Sakho and his high completion stats, IMO

He's definitely worked on his distribution a bit, plus it helps that most of his outfield aballs have been short pickups to Sakho, Skrtel, Gerrard etc.......less so to the fullbacks, and long , skyward efforts are a thing of the past for this team.......that's something Cech and DeGea have increasingly brought into their game whether they like it or not

For me, his distribution, is of lesser importance than his introvert nature in his area (and certainly his six-yard area). It's completely unacceptable to see dangerous balls coming across the 6-10yd space with a keeper completely unwilling to dominate that space. It creates unnecessary confusion and dilemmas at the back that should not arise.
It's most certainly his weakest point for me, and one which needs serious work if he is to become a fixture for most of the next decade.
The lack of communication and trust is evident for everyone to see, and I hope it's a focus this pre-season. Some of the teams we are up against in this PL have no business putting us under pressure as they do, but it's a common enough tactic used against us, and if we don't have a keeper and defensive partnership who can overcome such an approach, we'll continue to leak goals to inferior opposition.

Said it earlier, in this thread I think, but I give his debut season a solid 7/10........good shot-stopping, had his nervy few games, but promising and looks to know what area to improve in.

Yeah it's nowhere near as bad as some say, certainly not "awful" at all. Some others are better on the ball and more comfortable with it at their feet but he's decent enough with it, hardly like he only kicks it 5 yards either, he's always looking out wide, nails some and kicks some straight out of play, exactly like Pepe used to do.

Exactly like Pepe? Come on Chris, you must be taking the piss.

He is a top shot stopper. Would have preferred Begovic but thats gone

We need to look at replacing 3 of our back 4 before looking at the goalkeeper. Skrtel, Johnson and Agger. None good enough to win title

Everybody knows that we lost title due to the establishment / refereeing conspiracy.
                    Oh I don't know.

Dont think you even read it properly, you seem to have taken it as me saying he's as good as Pepe on the ball, I'm not, I'm saying he employed a tactic Reina used to do and as such will hit some and give some away.

He is consistent. You don't worry about him losing the plot like this:

Sure, he's only had one season, and pepe was obviously an excellent keeper in his prime with us, but to pick on Mignolet for inconstancy seems wide of the mark.

Hate this bull**** stats argument people seem to be pulling out.. never the full truth. The evidence has been in the games.

Haha i didn't produce any stats i'll leave that to the agenda driven minority

Clearly stats, likes of possession stats & passing stats are so deceiving & do not tell the full truth. Possession yup but in what areas, passing yup but what type of pass etc

Stats which matter are that we've scored 101 goals and conceded 50. The aim is to achieve a balance between the two.
