Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has been dropped "indefinitely", Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.
The Belgian was replaced by Brad Jones for Sunday's 3-0 defeat against Manchester United, and the Australian will retain his place for Wednesday's Capital One Cup tie at Bournemouth.
"I felt I had to change it because we have to find solutions throughout the squad to be better," said Rodgers.
"I said to Simon that it's for an indefinite period."

for an unlimited or unspecified period of time

is he trying to force him out so we can get begovic in. might mean we now play brad jones as our number one... be careful what you wish for

Apparently the Mexican keeper Ochoa who plays for Malaga started following LFC on Twitter some 15 mins after our team sheet was announced today. Hmmmm.

He was outstanding in the World Cup. That's about all I have ever seen of him.

Wasn't he notable for some good saves in the wc?

Is he the guy who everyone loved at the world cup and was on a free? Has he even played for them yet?

I have no idea whether he is any good.

Had a storming WC and was available on a free, I was ridiculed for saying he was better than Mig and that we should sign him...

Although his WC form isn't likely to be maintained long term, I think its likely he's better than Mig

Brad jones is such a poor keeper that dropping mignolet for him makes no sense. It wasn't mignolets fault that Basel knocked us out of the competition.

Just looks like a token gesture at showing who's in charge. The indefinitely bit sounds Sunday league.

Very strange decision by Rodgers to go so public
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
