I'll be so annoyed if we keep him as he's only going to ruin our chances again in the future. It's too late for him now, he should have been pulling saves off and rescuing us years ago not now when we only have a few games left, he's had enough chances. Don't kid yourselves lads, he's ****e.
Let's not forget how inept the team is at defending, before you launch a nuclear strike on Mignolet,it's a team game 11 players not 1.

That is true, but the converse is that he also has the ability to put the trouser browning on our whole defense single-handedly when he's in the mood.

This is it really. Disappointed that Karius turned out to be a bit of a jelly.

I thought Ward looked good in the youth teams. Hope he can make the step up.

some good comments here lads [cba doing the quotes] re mig putting the ****s up the defence as they dont feel he is a commanding guy who will give the defence the bollocking they often need.

also agree most goalies can have a wobble...
the main thing a good keeper needs [after all the necessary attributes] is mental strength and an assertive personality to be able to boss the guys in front of him and for them to know he has got their back.

for too long we have been buying players based on moneyball stats but some penpusher/list compiler has failed to take into account the lack of manstrength and leadership and too many airy fairy users of male grooming product types.

I actually think he has looked much better recently - he seems more confident and decisive. He needs to keep his form up but it's often thought that keepers mature later than most players. It seems at least possible that he has actually developed as a player.

he needs to live feral for a month and develop some aggression.

Plus his face is too flat.

Can't take the man seriously just based on that.

A month with Bear Grylls up in most northern Alaska will sort that out!

Let's praise him for helping win 6 points. We're quick to sling mud when he's awful - he has pulled off some brilliant saves in the last 2 games. The big moan against him has always been he doesn't win us points. Well, arguably he's won us 6 at the most crucial stage of the season.

I think the bigger moan against him has been when he costs us points, or at the very least requires us to outscore his mistakes to get them.

He's been brilliant the past 2 games but we need to able to rely on our keeper to be able to do things like this more regularly throughout the season.

Courtois has won Chelsea a whole string of games where they've ended up winning by a single goal margin thanks to him preventing the opposition from scoring more.

Saved a penalty at Chelsea too. I bet there's loads of instances where he's saved our bacon.

At Anfield, yeah fair point I'd forgotten about that. Unfortunately he was also caught napping for the free kick they scored in the same game!

He also spilled the ball for Hull's opener in the next game.
