This reminds me of when I tried to praise y son for getting great GCSE results at a family gathering.
Everyone rounded on me and told me that I was being mean by not congratulating my other son too (even though his GCSEs were 4 years prior). Then they all started saying I was lazy when I was a kid and didn't want to do any work, and that my own GCSE results weren't what they should have been! It was 24 years ago! I have a pretty decent job, never did me any harm!Comment
