Penalty save was ok, was blasted at him to be fair but did well to save it. He's a ****ing terrible keeper though. Really needs ****ing off, hate watching him.

Possibly, it was fizzed at him so he did well in that respect but it's his all round game that makes me cry.

Looking at the replays now I have changed my mind... I think it was a banker pen, why didn't he go with his hands.

Saved the pen anyways so irrelevant, he s actually amazing for pens. Was lost for their first goal though, petrified on set pieces. The guy is heart attack material.

I genuinely don't know what the rules or guidance on the rules in these situations are. The talk on this seems to be very inconsistent, how much contact on the ball do you need to get before catching someone for it not to be a foul? There was an incident a week or two ago where the defender slid in got the faintest of contact on the ball and then took the striker out, the ball path barely deviated and if it weren't for the contact on the striker, with the defender on the ground the striker would have been in on goal, that was deemed by the pundits great defending, Mignolet's situation was similar and MOTD pundits are saying he should have had a red card.

For me Vardy doesn't attempt to play the ball; he doesn't challenge for it with one foot or the other he just runs runs into Mignolet. He was just looking for the penalty.

I agree going for it with his hands seems the better option, whether that was possible or not I'm not really sure. Whether it should or shouldn't have been a penalty I don't like alot of his decision making, as well as the penalty incident their first goal is another example of it.

Fair play to him on his record on penalties though, that record is fantastic.

I think what sealed the deal with the pen is that Migs swing for the ball was out of control. He does clip the ball slightly first but it is a genuinely panicked wild swing and he ends up smashing the **** out of him

But yeah as per rules I have no idea what is and what is not. To be honest the pen incident and subsequent save summed Mig up as a goalkeeper in a nutshell. Chap is a wildcard, we really do need better

Not a penalty as far as I'm concerned & Migs did well to save it. He also got held back for their first goal so he is excused for that.

I saw someone on Twitter refer to that as a typical Mignolet performance:

• Nearly get caught with the ball at his feet
• Flap at the corner for their first (probably fouled though)
• Punch the ball across the box for their second
• Bottle the challenge on Vardy for the pen
• Save the pen!

The morale of the story is that he isn't good enough and regardless of how well he does there is another howler just around the corner.

I dunno stronger hands to have got it out further but that's nit picking tbh the switching off at the back and lack of reaction for them to finish it was more of a concern.

Seeing the first goal again he was fouled as well.

The ref as per usual had a ****ing shocker yesterday seems a constitent theme across the league, no consistency with decisons or any responsibility taken after the game to explain their decisions.

Disagree - thought he could have punched it elsewhere but he was 100% let down by the defence who left Chavy unmarked

Watching the pen from behind Mig, it looked to me like he knows he aint diving anywhere, and is waiting for the shot down the middle.

Just looked like that to me anyway.

Great save before the Vardy headed goal too, shame it went to him though, should have been marked obv.
