Delighted with this, McLaughlin and Ibe are the 2 youngsters I wanted to see loaned out, hopefully he'll do well enough at Barnsley to get a loan move somewhere better until the end of the season.

Everybody has to start somewhere, I presume Barnsley have guatanteed him games and maybe 'better' clubs aren't interested in him yet as he's been injured and only played U21 football.

Hopefully 6 games in a month will show other sides that he's a good player.

I think a lot depends on what Danny Wilson does to turn the team around. Certainly if they continue to be the worst championship team it does seem a bit of a shame. Still I think there is something in Matinez's statement that a big problem in player development is getting them to have meaningful games, given their position every game is meaningful for Barnsley at the minute.
