Didn't get a chance to see this tonight due to the new Qi Gong term starting (quick plug for our sponsors here: http://www.taichinews.com/) so was sorry to miss us beat Chelsea 1-0 at Aldershot.

Having seen the highlights a couple of points:
    • Another nicely taken goal by Dunn
    • Petersen was on fire
    • Texeira looked class again and hit the post with a curling free kick

If you want to see how we are preparing our stars for the future (you can only call them starlets if they're in the U18s as far as I can tell) and subscribe to the LFCTV channel have a look at the interview with Lloyd Jones (both his first and last names, not a double barrelled surname as I have always thought) and Connor Randall. Lloyd has obviously had media training and looks a proper footballing professional. He looks akward and self-conscious and uses the phrase "in good stead" in answer to every question. He's done his homework thoroughly and I applaud him. Connor looks suspiciously at the interviewer throughout every question (it's clear, by the way, that the interviewer is absolutely on his side and probably knows him quite well) and has the body language of a man who's about to be ordered to turn his pockets out. Well done the pair of them.

Some excellent stuff tonight especially from Teixeira and Peterson.

Chavs displayed a high degree of cuntishness at times and were fortunate not to have anyone sent off although they probably should have had a penalty late on.

      Very satisfying win.

Just watching LFC - Leicester u18 highlights, their shortest player is a whole foot taller than our tallest one...

Also, Marc Pelosi is back after more than a year

He played very well by all accounts. It's great to hear he's recovered

Watched the whole game last night, really good ding dong between the sides.

Texiera was immense and ran himself into the ground. Great effort.

One other thing I noticed was you can't say anything about the chavs being racist, 9 of their 11 were black kids. Some of them looked like mini Drogbas, powerful big lads. Massive for their age. If a few of them come through the ranks to the chelsea first team they will just run right over the other side. Were quite crap at tackling but their running was strong, direct and quick too. Hard to believe they were in their teens, looked like fully grown men who hit the gym a lot lol Huge for their age.

Sorry, have been out, just got back. 1-1 now I see. Is the Everton forward really called Dufus?

No, my mistake, he's called Duffus. Phew, for a moment I thought he had a hilarious name.
                    And it ends 1-1.

So if City or Chelsea win all of their games they can catch us - is that what he said?

Didn't hear what was said, but beating Chelsea last week secured our place in the play offs, so doesn't matter who catches us, we'll still qualify.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I've had to put it off until Monday. Which is probably just as well as we're away now for a week and I'd be a bit nervous with all those bottles sat alone in the house for a week on my first brew. Actually very nervous.

I've been watching this and am starting to think a barrel is a better idea. I thought it was a little fee-fi-fo-fum to start with but I'm warming to it now.

Cheers. Would be nice to come top so we meet 4th place. For those interested the U21s format is set out below:

The Barclays U21 Premier League replaced the Premier Reserve League at the start of the 2012/13 season with the aim to enhance youth development and help transition players between the Academy and First Team.
Manchester United were crowned Barclays U21 Premier League champions in the competition’s first season after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in the final at Old Trafford. The winning of the U21s has often been seen as a curse for the first team in subsequent seasons as has been hilariously demonstrated this the current season.
The league has been set out with the following criteria:
In total, 22 clubs compete in the Barclays U21 Premier League, with each of the clubs having applied for ‘Category One’ status in the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). There are 16 clubs from the Barclays Premier League, five clubs from the npower Championship and one club from the npower League One.
The format has changed since the 2012/13 season, with the 22 clubs now placed in one single national group, rather than being split into three smaller groups.
Clubs will play each opposing club in the group once, either home or away. Overall, the season will last for 21 matches.
The top four clubs will progress to the semi-finals and subsequent final to decide the overall Barclays U21 Premier League champions. In the semi-finals, the 1st and 4th place clubs will meet, and the 2nd and 3rd place clubs will meet.
                                Other rules include:
Clubs are only allowed to field three outfield players over the age of 21, plus the goalkeeper is also permitted to be over 21.
Each club must host at least three league matches at their main stadium during the course of the season, which helps to enhance the matchday experience for the young players and fans. In addition, the overall final will also be played in the main stadium of the home club.
Member clubs’ training grounds or Academy venues will be permitted for the staging of up to three home matches over the course of the league season.

The 22 clubs in the Barclays U21 Premier League are:
                                Arsenal
                                Aston Villa
                                Blackburn Rovers
                                Bolton Wanderers
                                Chelsea
                                Everton
                                Fulham
                                Leicester City
                                Liverpool
                                Manchester City
                                Manchester United
                                Middlesbrough
                                Newcastle United
                                Norwich City
                                Reading
                                Southampton
                                Stoke City
                                Sunderland
                                Tottenham Hotspur
                                West Bromwich Albion
                                West Ham United
                                Wolverhampton Wanderers

Promotion and relegation to be introduced next season

From the 2014/15 season and beyond, promotion and relegation will be introduced as the format changes for the Barclays U21 Premier League.
In a bid to encourage more competition and prepare Academy players for the intense environment of elite competition and progression to the first team, the current 22-team division will be split in two. The top 11 Category 1 clubs will compete in the top tier of next season's competition, with the bottom 11 clubs vying to gain promotion to the top flight as of next season.
