Pre season is great when its great and bad when its bad, it doesn't mean much, does it?

It is a bit cliched but today's loss will work to our benefit for the stoke game IMO. We created several clear cut chances and on another day could have won comfortably, which is what I predict we will do next Saturday.

I do agree we lack 2 maybe 3 players but the positives are there.

One loss in preseason and we right the rest of the season off.

Win on the opener next Saturday and 2 or 3 players before the window is closed then we are cooking with gas.

I just hope we get the rub of the green this season, feels like we will need some luck and that we are due some as well!

I think Allen has made my mind up for that one spot up for grabs. He's shown more than Henderson to play in the 3 with Gerrard and Lucas. Controlled the midfield well in the first half despite Gerrard being useless, and good forays up front.

I disagree, the balance is not right with allen in midfield. we fail to perform against more physical teams. I prefer henderson in that position.

Neither Allen or Hendo are hard as type players but I'd tip Hendo will handle the rough & tumble better than the midget that is Allen.

IMO hendo just handles it slightly better and has a better engine to recover and assist the midfield. Tried and tested last season.
