it's all about benteke - he tore us a new one at anfield last season and has started this year well

tactics wise i'd be looking at getting lucas to sit infront of him and then have toure up behind him challenging

toure is good in the air and quick - lucas getting in front will prevent any short balls in too feet, and then if they go long Toure can challenge and lucas willl be close enough to be first to any loose balls from that.

i'd then have henderson as the other midfielder to give us the extra legs in the middle - the rest of the defence/midfield should be more than capable of dealing with the rest of villa's side and a front three of sturridge, coutinho and aspas will cause anyone problems.

So when not in possession, double up on benteke, stop him playing, get the ball to coutinho as quick as possible, and score

It is not just Betenke IMO - it's the use of Weimann and Agbonlahor outside him that make them really dangerous. The key will be not letting the latter pair run past the midfield into dangerous areas. I'm hopeful Toure will handle Betenke.

Benteke scored twice against us in a game where we dominated them and he scored one good finish and from one defensive **** up. We also beat them comfortably at villa park last season.

That's the point Matt, he scored when we were dominating. If Mignolet flaps like he did against Stoke then they've got a man who can capitalise.
