But I'd never have moaned for picking the 2nd team, which imo clearly should have been picked and I for one in all pre match threads stated we should pick a second string and if they aren't good enough to get the job done then they shouldn't be here

I'd have moaned at the performances if a 2nd string lost and and rightly so

But I'd have been pleased knowing the key players were rested.

Whoppy de ****ing do. I totall understand that football should be about winning and that having a winners medal is more important than finishing fourth and all that lovie fantasy world ****

But being selfish...in my life I've seen us win trophies, I've been to carling cup and fa cup finals at Wembley and Cardiff and seen us win and lose, I've been to European fina (uefa) and seen us win a champions league and get to another finall, I want to see us win the ****ing league which I haven't seen since I was about 10!

And to do that we need top players

To get top players we need champions league football.

I'll worry about 'winning' the league cup when we go 7 or 8 seasons like arsenal with no trophies at all

Even if we win the trophy and we finish in say sixth or seventh place in the league then it will most probably not save Rodgers from getting sacked.

The only thing that really counts this season is the league.

FSG have already showed that it is the league results that counts.

Toure the most serious I reckon. Looked like a torn groin so I'd say 6-8 weeks out. Allen probably a month and depends if Cissokho damaged ankle ligaments or not.

Allen and Toure look like medium to long term injuries - i.e at least 4 weeks. Cissohko should be OK in a couple of weeks if not earlier I think. I haven't checked them so, don't take it for gospel.
