It was a bit weird how they didn't analyse Welbeck sticking his leg out and then diving to try and win a pen. They didn't even mention the incident aftewards. Trying to spare Moyes's blushes?

That was a stonewall pen according to The Moysiah.

Indeed, you would think it was worthy of some kind of comment.

I actually thought the ref had given it because he appeared to point to the spot and I was fuming with Aspas for adding to his abysmal outing by giving away a pen. Thankfully the ref was having nothing to do with Welbecks antics, and Neville did say during a replay that he (Welbeck) threw himself to the ground.

Personally I thought it was quite clear that he was pointing for GK but a good number in the pub thought pelanty too... so maybe it was not so obvious

Thought the whole edit was unbelievably one sided. I assume the programme is put together at the TV centre in Salford. Would explain a lot.

One thing I have noticed is how we have a resilience about us this season, we look like we can defend a lead and that is something we failed to do far to often last season. We have a real togetherness and more tactical discipline.

Either that or Moyes is absolutely clueless

Moyes thought 'his' team played well and if he really believes that all i can say is long may it continue!
After all, he doesn't have to win to be a winner. #moyesin

It sounds very Hodgson-esque to me! I hope the United fans are happy with their new manager.

No, that would make it all the more baffling. If it was put together at TV House within commuting distance of Surrey it would make sense

The otherwise totally anonymous Van Persie pushed one of our players in the box. You just know that if it had been Suarez he'd have got a second yellow and would have been off. It would have been a certainty

Agreed. It took them 76 minutes to make Mignolet make his only proper save of the match. He was otherwise untroubled. Man U spent most of the game passing it sideways and had pretty much zero penetration. As 1-0 wins go it was fairly comfortable. I never expected them to score
