I have said this for years. If you have an EU Country passport you can work where you want to in the EU. Uefa's quota system goes against these regulations? Therefore, it is illegal

I understand this argument, although there is nothing to stop the club employing and paying someone, the quota only relates to the "squad". Call it positive discrimination, especially for us poor English. I think some of these employment rules are self destructive, and exceptions should be made for sports and entertainment. Otherwise, whats to stop someone challanging the world cup or europen cup as being restrictive (although at this point I would be all for scrapping internationals). Some community roots have to be maintained, or whats the point.

Anyway, I thought the Uefa squad rules for the CL were very flexible, based upon time in the acadamies of the club and host nation rather than nationality.

But this is from the people who make me pay for two sports subscriptions instead of one, in the name of choice.
