I would move heaven and earth to sign William Carvalho from that Portugal side to replace Lucas. He looks an absolute beast in that DM role but sadly it looks like the ship has probably already sailed on him judging by the kind of figures it will take to prize him away from Sporting.

I think he will figure in time! Just one of them where the club knows he's a good player, just needs to develop a little bit more. It's better for him to develop at a club that play like we do, rather than make mistakes playing for us!

I thought the plan for Ilori was always that he could go out on loan for a couple of seasons before joining the squad. But then that was to get used to the English game..
