Looking forward to this later, been a few seasons since I've genuinely been optimistic and looking forward to our games.

Not going to be easy tonight but I do think we've got enough about us to get the victory, 4 wins from 4 games would be awesome

      I'd take a draw btw

Thanks mate. hopefully a good start to the day.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

When I cast an eye over the team and compare them to squads of Liverpool past, even Rafa's, I'm genuinely chuffed at our present options. Maybe we're slightly light in midfield, especially cover for Lucas, and could perhaps do with one more starting winger and competition for rightback, but when was the last time we could boast of two beastie forwards in Sturridge and Suarez, and a competitive defence instead of a shoe-in one.

Oh, don't forget the sheer pace we have at our disposal now. We were crying out for some for the longest time, and we have one of the fastest -- and robust -- defences in the league. Not too shabby upfront too with the Sturge, Moses and the two young'uns, Sterling and Ibe. Chomper, Coutinho, Aspas and Henderson are no slouches as well.

          Well chuffed.

          Edit:
Gerrard and Torres weren't bad and neither was the defense at that time either.

If we can emulate that team, we'll win the league.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

True that. Although it's a harder league these days with more clubs coming into money, the current post-Mr Ferguson climate works in our favour after a fashion as more points will be taken off the top clubs. We can mind our own matches more.

No doubt. A top 4 finish for Rodgers would probably be as big an achievement as Rafa's second place finish. Although in saying that, if ever there is a year to do it, it is definitely this year. Next year will be so much harder to bridge the gap once all the new managers have had time to settle as well the new players.

Including ours so why would it be more difficult?

Then you can add into that Gerrard will be another year older and Suarez will probably be gone.

Other teams have more spending power and despite my criticisms of Spurs, if they sort their defence out they could be very strong next year.

Chelsea will have a CF next year, United will either have a new manager or Moyes will have got his act together, Pellegrini will know his team and the league better and spend a fortune no doubt and Arsenal might buy a decent keeper.

Sad but true. Then we have major injury concerns over the rest of our better players in Sturridge, Lucas and Johnson.

And we will have cover for Lucas, a new striker, left winger and left back as well as a total understanding of Rodgers' system.

Plus other teams could buy poorly.

Sakho has been left out to do extra training. He is short of match practise & Rodgers wants him fully fit before playing him. (Daily Mail)
