Satisfied, but would have been happier with another striker. if we had have done I'd be rating it Excellent.

Though I'm not holding it against the club, FSG, Rogers et all. just the way it went.

Overall decent window, I just have fears of losing Sturridge and Suarez at the same time for a match or 2.

This window has been both fantastic for the squad and for the financial side of things

Think most of us pretty much agree then.

Minor grumble that we didn't sign a goalscoring forward but I'm glad we didn't spend for the sake of spending. There's always January.

We improved the first team, kept Suarez, beefed up the squad with some good young players and shifted the deadwood.

        Very satisfied. Good work LFC.

I'm not sure why but that has really tickled me. I don't even disagree.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

              Loving this from foresterbloke !

7.5 / 10 for me... The only thing I can't understand is we let Borini (an out and out centre forward - admittedly, not a totally proven one) go and didn't replace him with a similar type player who is better quality...

Moses is not a centre forward -although, I think he'll do an excellent job for us...

Onwards and upwards - our defence looks fantastic, nobody will **** about with that crew of tough nuts..BR is really putting his own stamp on this team now

....and El Pistolero is about to be unleashed !!

Excited about the rest of the season now.....
              DALGLISH !! :respect

i've gone with satisfied - just about 7 out of 10

pleased with the way we have continued clearing the dead wood. slightly disappointed we didn't eg the one 'big' signing we wanted, ie Mkhitaryan or Willain etc. But on the plus we have managed to keep suarez

overall i've think we have put together a decent squad, with good cover for each position and good mix of youth/experience.

looking at the signings themselves for this season
Mignolet, Toure, Sakho, - very pleased with

Cissokho, Moses, - good additions, risk free on loan and give us some good strength in depth in those areas

Aspas, Alberto, Ilori - personally not expecting much from any of these in terms of being in the first team/tearing up the league, but all look useful squad additions.

i've gone all summer about the need for another centre mid - i feel we are still a bit light there and personally i think something like gareth barry would have been a nice little move for us - good experience, has played consistently at a good level throughout his career (played 34 and 31 league games in the last two season in a city side that finished 1st/2nd) so whilst i appreciate many don't rate him here because of the whole 'replacing alonso' thing, he's still a decent player and although it goes against the FSG mould of signing youngsters, i just feel had we picked up him or someone like him, it wouldn't have done us any harm.

I'd say - ideal world/window for me would have seen the following as well

                  a decent backup Keeper
                  another centre mid option
and then a top attacking player

but we've had a great start, we still have suarez to come back, and with a little bit of luck re injuries/suspensions and the fact we don't have european football to worry about i am hopeful we have enough in there to be competitive.

be great if we can keep that all together and be in the mix come the january window - and then maybe add one or two extras to see us over the line.

we have 35 'cup finals' left - you can only pick XI players, and i am confident that if the following players play in the majority of those 35 games, then we should be in good position.

                  Mignolet
                  Johnson
                  Enrique
                  Agger
                  Sakho
                  Lucas
                  Gerrard
                  Coutinho
                  Suarez
                  Sturridge

thats ten players, capable of getting into most of the top teams in the league and capable of on their day beating everyone - plus we have toure/kelly/skrtel/cissokho/allen/henderson/alberto/moses/sterling/ibe/aspas - giving us some decent cover/different options

A 7/10 constitutes a "happy" IMO. spider-neil did the same! What's wrong with you people!

We've got a first team squad of 24, the joint lowest in the Premiership which can be balanced out by our lack of European football. That squad has the second youngest average age in the Premiership at 25.2 (Aston Villa's is 24.5). When you look at the squad - or more importantly, the starting eleven - it's a Rodgers' team; the squad is starting to take shape and we're building for the future and for a sustained challenge at the top. Another couple of transfer windows and a season of battling with the big-guns, together with the experience, will put us in good stead.

I voted 'happy', because I believe we've done well, I would have just liked two more additions (a central midfielder and a striker - a Sturridge injury combined with a Suarez suspension leaves us a little light). However, I certainly can't grumble.
i agree with the age thing - very pleasing, as per my post in the united thread - on sunday we had an average age of 26 starting, with only gerrard in his 30's - United average age was 29 with Evra/Ferdinand/vidic/carrick/giggs and van persie all their 30's - thats argubly their 6 key players in their 30's

Looking at it - i'd say we will see one of two starting XI's most of the time depending on who we are playing

at home/lesser sides i'd suspect we will see something like

                      ---------------------Mignolet------------------

                      johnson----------sakho------agger----------enrique

                      ------------------lucas-------gerrard-----------
                      ----------------------coutinho-------------------

                      suarez---------------sturridge-------------moses

and then in tougher games or when needed, henderson coming in for moses to give us more legs in the midfield, and coutinho moving into the attacking three.

we do have a pretty decent second XI now as well - maybe imo a decent keeper, centre mid/goalscorer short but still without the extra european football games to worry about then hopefully it shouldn't be a factor

                      -----------------------Jones--------------------

                      kelly------------toure---------skrtel--------cissokho

                      ------------------allen--------henderson-------
                      -----------------------alberto-------------------

                      Ibe--------------------Aspas------------Sterling

plus wisdom/ilori and anyone else i've forgotten

I think we will have gotten a decent loan fee for reina and borini possibly something for assaidi too which might raise another 3-4m.

Overall i would say that we have done some very good business. Sakho, illori have tremendous potential and sakho's return should be more immediate. Moses coming in could also be a huge boost for us if he can recapture the form he showed at wigan.

the early additions of mignolet and toure were also really good and aspas and alberto have shown promise.

the defensive options look a lot healthier with toure, sakho, illori and cissoko all coming in - its almost a new back four.

We could have done with one more quality attacking option and perhaps if skrtel is sold in january, there's still money left to secure someone then but overall very good window for us. Keeping suarez was was the biggest deal of our summer.

Happy with defensive signings, the attacking signings could have been better.
                                We come not to play.
