are you saying he didn't display some questionable judgement in the transfer market during his most recent stint?

i don't begrudge him the job, but it's a valid concern.

Welcome Back King. Let us hope his daughter, son and that pillock, Tony Evans, can now stop taking pot shots at the owners and Brendan

I'm no ostrich when it comes to Chad but I thought the tone of the post was unnecessarily negative. Maybe I misread it.

        This is a real positive.
        Hello mert.

It is a positive appointment if Dalglish has been brought in to give advice/support and nice it's to have him back at the club but I don't want him making decisions that affect transfers or the manager in any way. The reality is that KD's transfers and football philosophy during his second stint as manager were a disaster that the club is only now fully recovering from.

I'm aware that there's a lot of sentiment were Dalglish is concerned and it's easy to get caught up in the moment but I live in the world.

I doubt any of the youth lads will be taking any advice on fashion from the spice boys though.

Exactly the position he should've been given years ago when the idea was first circulated about having a fan as a director (or non-executive) on the board.

It'll also be nice for Rodgers to have him around, as they do appear to get on really well. It's good news for the fans too, having that connection between them and the board.

I know it's almost a taboo subject on here, but we really do need a link between board and fans, a person who will tell the club exactly how we feel. The Anfield Wrap expressed their concern over a divide between club and fans, and who better than Kenny Dalglish to bridge it.

Good to see JH hasn't/didn't totally spat/spit the dummy out, and can make positive feel good decisions for the club regardless of what's gone before.

This is good for LFC, i see what we're doing, LFC is being rebuilt, brick by brick, legend by legend.

edit: Good to see McManaman back and coaching too.

Out of interest, has Macka done any kind of coaching anywhere else?
