Me not rating Lucas is basically the deal breaker.

Maybe I'm past my best and should retire, or get back to a regimen of writing only posts that have at least two paragraphs in them.

That and your un-natural love of Ian Holloway: The warning signs were there for all to see but we somehow missed them.

      **** off 2-2!!
I havn't seen or read the game but that is 2 points dropped! Especially against 10 men!
It may be a case of the players at our disposal...maybe we need a couple of midfielders who give a consistent attacking/creative performance because, as it seems, without Coutinho we struggle to create many chances.
I have no idea what we are lacking in but it needs to change! No Coutinho today but looks like we did create enough chances to score more. We seem to be pretty easy to walk through in midfield...maybe a tough tackling physical midfielder is needed?
I said from the start of the season that we could finish top...but if we drop points like we did today then it will be extremely difficult to even finish top 4! We need more consistency. We need to find a level of playing that vs 10 men there should only be one outcome...3 points!
Just hope that there are a few draws in other games today that help us out!

We've scored a lot more since Coutinho has been out.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I just made a couple of comments sympathizing with Holloway and it snowballed. People have taken it way too seriously, and I turned it into a running gag. I think he's a decent manager and a very likeable bloke.

The same for the "15 minutes" thing.

We missed Lucas today, when they had 11 men.

We made plenty of chances, but some players didn't play well enough.

You come across as a little knee jerk here though.

Yeah i guess it is pretty harsh...i just want to see us win & dominate the league. High expectations & all that! Especially after a rather strong start to this season. Don't want to give up on them & accept a lower finish. I understand that losing/drawing happens...the league is harder overall...just frustrated it happened today vs 10 men.
I just want us to put some pressure on other teams instead of playing catch up.
Here's looking forward to the next match!

Showed real promise and has an exciting future here I think.

If we are going to play a wing back, it should be Enrique, not sissoko. Thought he was poor today going forward. Doesn't have a trick in his book really. At fault for the goal too.

Not sure Newcastle are looking to sell.

Cissokho was definitely rusty but he also had some good moments going forward as the game wore on. Enrique has a knee injury and going by Rodgers comments, he may be out for a few more games.

Other results not great for us today. The big games coming up are huge for us,hopefully we can play each one with a full fit squad to choose from.

We're 3rd and level on points with Chelsea in 2nd and even if City and Spurs win their games we'll still be ahead of them, oh and United dropped points again.
Not a total disaster for us today, a disappointment yes.

Coutinho is the key to unlocking teams that sit back like Newcastle did tiday

Makes our result even more disappointing. Newcastle really are not very good. Against 10 men we should have walked that game
