Did I hear today that Gerrard is doubtful for this game?
That rug really tied the room together.

Rodgers never likes to change a winning team, which I think has prevented him from making some changes he'd otherwise have made by now. I'm of the opinion that a Lucas-Allen-Coutinho midfield is probably our most balanced, especially against a team like Fulham at home, and I'd not be surprised to see it especially if Stevie isn't fit. Would love to have Agger as the middle centre back too and have both Enrique/Johnson in to see what the 3-5-2 looks like with proper personnel.

I'm tempted to call a spanking but I don't want to tempt fate.

Was going to say the same thing. Lucas needs a rest.

I'm not sure about that - he recently missed two games due to suspension/baby-having. I'd say it's Gerrard who is more in need of a rest.

Who would you drop for Agger? Skrtel or Toure

Neither Sakho if he is going to persist with 3 Centrebacks

Agger and Sakho are our 2 best centre backs, in my opinion anyway, so I'd rather see Sakho play in the middle and obviously a right footer on the right, so for me it's between Skrtel and Toure missing out.

Based solely on the Arsenal match it would have to be Toure surely ? Skrtel has been MOTM or close to it for most of the season & Toure has done well but had a mare against his old club.

Dunno about dropping Lucas but against Fulham you'd like to think that we can take the risk.

If as reported Stevie is struggling for fitness that will make the desicion easier for Brendan.

Buxton now says Suarez can play. What a surprise.

Ah, the old "struggling with a knock" / "needs a rest" line. A convenient way to drop skipper without mass hysteria or damaging his ego. To be honest, if resting him every other game would ensure an all guns blazing 100% Gerrard every time he played, it would do us, and the other midfielders good.

                                What about Sakho?

I don't think he deserves to be dropped (neither does Skrtel, so Toure is the unlucky one).

Thus, I think the side picks itself in the absence of Gerrard:

                                -------------- Mignolet

                                Johnson -- Skrtel -- Sakho -- Cissokho

                                --------------- Lucas

                                ----- Henderson -------- Allen

                                -------------- Coutinho

                                ------ Suarez --------- Sturridge
